In 1971, Ken Saul Sr. began work in the masonry restoration field. He learned the trade with a small restoration company in Allentown, Pennsylvania for the first fourteen years of his career. He first began as a laborer and quickly progressed to become a skilled craftsman. From these humble beginning, little did he know, that this would be the first step in a life-long pursuit of restoration excellence.
In May of 1985, Ken Sr. took hold of the reigns as he ventured on his own with a 1971 Dodge pick up and some hand painted company signs. His focus, at that time, was mostly on brick pointing, waterproofing, and sealant work. In 1994, Ken Jr. joined the team as the business expanded to offer both products and preservation techniques exemplified in its current state today.
Saul Restoration Artisans is built upon a strong foundation of family support. Ken is married to his lovely wife, Jeanne, and they have four children (Ken, Jr. Angela, Danielle, and Philip), and the grandchildren just keep coming. Everyone in the family plays a significant role in the business: Jeanne is the office manager; Ken Saul Jr. is the project manager, and Angela is the marketing manager. Each gift and talent is integrated into the company helping to deliver seamless results for complete customer satisfaction.
With over 34 years in the restoration trade, Artisans in general have worked on countless residential projects and as many as 40 church projects. Many things have changed for the positive, but it is a continual challenge to keep up with these dynamic changes. Saul Restoration Artisans is committed to the continual education of clients as the trade continues to evolve and grow. Providing the best possible product and skill for the restoration job will always be a source of great pride and satisfaction for the business.
Saul Restoration Artisans will not permit second best craftsmanship or outdated products to hamper the integrity of our architectural heritage. The company strives to maintain the original design, custom details, and beauty of the original designer who were immigrants to American shores years ago.
The Artisans name reflects the companys approach to preservation or restoration of a structure. It is the Artisans goal to do the very best, striving to meet the challenges for each particular project, while giving all the glory to God. |
